Argentus beccotenus

Those are Pale Terram animals native of savana like areas.
 Those huge 'ears' are actually where they have their vision-pads, which allows them to see, however, they are not so advanced so their vision is mostly blurry, therefore they rely more on smells, their noses have increndible smelling, allowing them to identify other creatures, but that does not stop them from finding you hostile when they see you, since their vision is blurry and they know some animals coats themselves with the smell of others, they consider most animals hostile unless they are used to them.
 They are mammals.
 They are herbivores.
 They only have one infant a time. Each infant takes 9 Inferus years(45 human years) to reach adulthood.
 They tend to live up to 112 Inferus years(560 Human years) however, most of them dies younger due to illness or fatal wounds.
 Those large tusks are used for them to defend themselves against predators and to attack possible threats that gets into their territory. Yes, they are very territorial animals.
 Since their tusks are so large, they cannot simply pluck grass off with their beaked mouth, stead, they use their long tongue to wrap around and pull the grass and leaves off bushes and ground.
 They have a considerable good memory and despite they have a blurry vision, if you do something harmful and bad to one of them, said beccotenus will remember you smell and blurry shape.
 Their hearing is not so improved, they can ear, but it would be equivalent to a 40 years old human hearing.
 Another way they harm predators that tries to attack them is by kicking them with their strong legs.
 Their 'shell' is actually a thicker concentration of skin, that is used as a 'shield' to defend itself from predators that tends to try attacking animal's backs.
