Pale Terram life - Pivola

Pivola are the bizarre fish/avian looking animal that are found at the poles and during spring seasons they migrate to cold beaches of the continents.
 Their bizarre appearance was earned due to the fact that they are basically living fossils, they are creatures that almost looks as if they stopped evolving, which is half truth, the lineage line that they are from is linked to when the aquatic creatures were just starting to live outside the water, however, stead of fully converting, their line took a different turn and stead just evolved this hybrid awkward way, don't let their looks fool you, they might look like an avian, but they are actually more fish than bird. Think of it as how Platypus and Echidna took complete different ways than any other mammal.

 They are not tamable
 They live for about 18 Inferus Years (90 Human years) however, most will end up as food for other creatures before they can reach 8
 They reach sexual maturity with 8 inferus years (40 Human years)
 They are opportunists and will feed of most dead things.
 They will also attempt to steal food items from other animals, even from Inferus, either by raising their wings to look bigger, or by literally slapping the target continuously with their wings to force them to drop or leg go of any food item, if successful they just snatch it as fast as they can and run/dive/fly also to avoid other of the same kind trying to steal them.
 They are oviparous, their eggs however is just like roe, for the eggs to survive they stack them in rock formations.
 They tend to spawn dozens of eggs, but only a few of the large number hatches, most ends up eaten, and as stated above, those that hatches many also dies before sexual maturity which is why they mate so much, to ensure their numbers overcome the losses.
 Their mating ritual involves the male inflating their filter sack, the purple looking bag under their beak, and emitting a reverberated vibrating long call. the one which sound goes far and has the prettiest and largest filter sack tends to get most females.
 They live more in the water than outside, though they also swim on the water surface and can fly for a short amount of time
 Their short flight is caused to the fact that their bodies are not entirely build for such task, their wings muscles are not as strong and well built for swimming, stead, they do a better job at water, it however doesn't stop them from using it, it is a great way to avoid predators; launching themselves off the water and flying for a short period of time to the farthest they can.
 Females have just the same appearance as a male, however, they cannot inflate their filter sack.
 Their beak and feet, along their filter sack have such 'cold' colors due to one of their food resources that consists on crustaceans creatures with the same compound(soon to be posted)
 Their beak has those membranes attacked so they can suck water to bring the blue crustaceans into their mouths, the filter sack serves to keep them in as they spill the water off.

 Their meat is considered seafood, not only the texture, but also the taste of it just resembles so much of a fish life.
 Their beaks are used for crafting jewelry.
 Their scales are somewhat pointy, however joined one against another gives them a soft feel.
